Effingham Career Academy
The Newest edition to the Effingham Industrial Park’s Technical Training Campus is the Effingham Career Academy. A 3 million dollar grant was awarded in 2007 to the School system enabled Effingham County to start the Career Academy. Together with the Effingham Campus of the Savannah Technical College, the Career Academy will continue to be an important factor in the training and education of the Effingham County workforce.
Students are given access to the newest technology, programming and equipment to help prepare them for their future careers. The building itself also uses the newest technologies, boasting a LEED Gold Certification from the United States Green Building Council. At the Effingham Career Academy the students are given every opportunity to excel and become educated future citizens and skilled workers in Effingham County.
Effingham Campus
Located within the Effingham Industrial Park’s Technical Training Campus, the Effingham Campus of the Savannah Technical College offers many opportunities for the residents and workers in Effingham County. The Effingham Campus offers college classes in the fields of Allied Health, Business and Technology, Industrial and Public Services, and General Education.
The Effingham Campus will play an important part in the future economic development of Effingham County. The Savannah Technical College develops programs that are designed to meet the changing needs of the regional economy with the flexibility and creativity necessary to sustain the workforce of the future. Through its commitment to quality, service and responsiveness to its community, Savannah Technical College will remain an integral force in the future growth and development of southeast Georgia.

Georgia Quick Start
For more than 40 years, Quick Start has provided customized workforce training free-of-charge to qualified businesses in Georgia.
Today, the program is one of the state’s key assets for supporting new and expanding industries. Quick Start delivers training in classrooms, mobile labs or directly on the plant floor, wherever it works best for a company. To ensure that all economic development personnel are prepared with the latest skills and strategies for workforce training, Quick Start also administers an ongoing program for professional development, the Certified Economic Developer Trainer program.
